The Hunters and the Hunted (R)

Jake: I already answered. *Starts moving away, his fists clenched*

Eenhoorn: Yes, you will meet many creatures here, both good and evil.

Lilly: Wh...where is andrew!? I'm supposed to be watching him!

"Do you know any creatures I can meet?" Kai asked.

Tril: *He looks down* Uhm. . . Andrews dead. . .

Benjamin: Nothing Isn't an answer.

Jake: *turns to run*

Lilly: NO! HE CAN'T BE I WAS JUST WITH HIM!!!! *she looks frantic*

Eenhoorn: Yes, I know of several. Have you ever met a nymph, or an imp, or an elf?

Aisha: Please calm down sweety *she says softly*

Tril: Here lilly, drink.

Benjamin: Why does everyone run? *with one swift flick he sends an arrow at Jake's heel* I said stay where you were, bow or not I was just asking a question that you couldn't seem to answer.

"Nope! But I've met an umbrella with a leg!" Kai offered.

Jake: *wasn't looking, the arrow embeds into his heel and he stumbles collapsing*

Lilly: but... but he can't be.. *starts crying and looks frightened*

Eenhoorn: *laughs* Ahhh, i see, they are odd.

"Yokai are a pretty weird bunch," Kai said, rolling onto his back for a moment before suddenly standing up, "So can I meet these guys?"

Aisha: He is. You've forgotten. Please drink *he voice is soothing*

Tril: holds the water to her

Benjamin: *he sighs and goes to pull the arrow out of Jake* I told you not to run. This reminds me of my police days so much.

Darius with his scythe hidden in his cloak walks into the store and looks around. He sees a young woman looking and asking for someone to train her. Darius walks up and begins to talk to the young woman,

"I hear your looking for a teacher to train you", Daruis asked, "What are you looking to kill in the woods?"

Eenhoorn: Yes, who would you like to meet first?

Lilly: *she takes it and shakily drinks*

Jake: *before ben gets to him a streak of darkness shoots out and jake appears a distance away but his injury is hampering him and he yelps*

Tania: what does it matter to you?

Bret: ooooo a nymph! *sees mer*

"I guess elves?" Kai sat down and started to grow.

Tril: Would you like something to eat?

Aisha: *she goes to the kitchen to make something to eat*

Benjamin: *quickly gets to him.* Can I take out the arrow from your heel?

Korlith: *he wanders the woods*

Darius: There are things in the woods that were made to be hunted and made to have a purpose. My skillset set is removing the creatures in the woods that have wrong others from the world. And since you are looking for a trainer something from the woods has done wrong to you and your looking to killed it. so the question is what harmed you?

Backstory: A regular guy that died one day and woke up as a skeleton.

Eenhoorn: Care to climb on? *kneels for him to climb on so they van move more quickly*

Jake: *his eyes seem to glow dark and he practically bares his teeth at him defensively*

Tania: *she uncovers the half of her face that is hidden to reveal the hideously burnt flesh.* I do not know whether the creature was human or not... but I do know that whether you help me or not, i will find a way to kill the mother f**ker.

Lilly: I... I don't know..

Kai morphs to human, his tails still showing.
"Alright! I'm going to look human just in case though..."
Kai climbs onto Orn's back.

Jack sleeps, leaning on a tree near the village.

Darius: I have hunted humans who had powers and cut their heads off with my scythe. You have showed me your commitment and all I have to asked you is "Are you ready to begin?" *he extended his hand towards Tania*

Benjamin: don't bare your teeth at me, you're the one who ran. I just want to know what you are doing here. That's all. In the words of many: I don't want trouble. *in a swift motion he plucks the arrow from his heel, steps back and nocks his bow*

Tril: Come to the table *he reaches out his hand*

Korlith: *he wanders the woods*

Aisha: *makes food*

Jack wakes up. His his glowing white "pupils" lighting back up in his skull. He stands up and leisurely walks back deeper into the woods.

Lilly: *shyly takes it*

Jake: Get away from me! *jumps a distance away and crawls*

Eenhoorn: *takes ooff towards the elven village*

Tania: yes, but I'd wrather not hold your hand... we aren't that close yet.

Bret: *floating somewhere in the wood near mer but apparently she is oblivious so maybe near jack*

Darius:*puts his hand to his side* That's fair so how good is your sight?

Tania: Perfect.

Tril: *helps her off the table and leads her to the kitchen, where Aisha has some wonderful food ready*

Benjamin: *quickly gets in front of him*

Aisha: Have a seat sweety *she puts a steamy plate on the table* here you go.

Korlith: *wanders the woods*

Shachath: *he smiles, the lady he just killed didn't go out screaming and crying* I like it when they do that, they make it so much more peaceful. *He teleports elsewhere to the woods.*

Jake: *his fingernails protrude slightly. He can feel his body tensing for a change and he tries to fight it however the only response he can muster is a bestial snarl*

Lilly: *sits down* thank you.... im... im sorry to bother you...

Darius: *Darius gives Tania money* Here is some money. go and buy a crossbow. When you come back I'll go and I'll teach you the first lesson you need to know.

Tania: I don't want anything for you other thank the skills i need in order to kill. *turns away and goes to the counter to get a crossbow*

Darius smirks and puts his money back in his pocket and waits for her to return.

Aisha: you aren't bothering me at all.

Tril: *sits down across from her with a plate of his own*

Benjamin: *senses the change and readies himself, grabbing a rope from his belt* please don't try anything. *his voice is calm, but forceful*

Jake: *snarls looking up ben sees what look like black veigns spreading from his eyes and his fingernails turn black. He manages to roar a few words with much effort* G...GET BA..CK

Tania: *returns with weapon*

Lilly: *eats ramen*

Benjamin: *he quickly backs up but stays in the area*

Tril: *also eats ramen*

Aisha: *also also eats ramen*

Korlith: *doesn't eat ramen, but instead wanders the forest*

Darius: We are going to go to town in the dead of night and you will learn what the first lesson is. The first lesson is this: 'Everyone dies'. So go get some sleep and I will come for you when its time. *He leaves the store*

Jake: *Seems to be calming, he tries to rapidly move away moving on all fours his speed increasing*

Tania: sounds easy enough. I've slept long enough but I will wait.

Lilly: where am I?

Bret: *somewhere near someone*

Aisha: you are in my home. I live in the middle of the forest.

Benjamin: *he quickly goes roundabout to cut Jake off*

Tril: Aisha's pretty much a mother to me.

Jake: *realizing he can't escape he focuses on controlling himself. He collapses on the ground, clearly struggling with himself but failing. In a last attempt he roars* GET THE FUCK AWAY!!! *as his body shifts further and spines protrude through his shirt, tearing it. He makes a strange sound and fangs emerge as the black veins spread out from his eyes to his lips.*

Lilly: The... forest... I... I don't remember it..

((all characters other than Ben, Aisha, Tril, Lilly, and Jake are paused until nightfall is reached in this rp due to their current citations.. It will be nightfall as soon as the above listed characters reach an appropriate point in which to say nightfall has come))

Aisha: Don't worry about it. Just eat.

Tril: I live here too

Benjamin: *He looks concerned but doesn't leave* I have not meant you harm.

Jake: *His eyes flash bestially and he snarls. Blood seems to be dripping from his back where the spikes protrude out of his flesh. He clearly should be in agony with this transformation but his face is blank and cold with only bestial aggression written on it. He bares his fangs and he shudders, the spikes shifting on his back slightly. The black veins run down his arms to each clawed finger, his spine to each spike, and are spreading to his legs. The transformation which was moving slowly because he was fighting it, is clearly speeding up as his instinct clouds his mind. The veins reach his feet where claws grow from his toes, spearing the shoes and a red liquid drips from his fangs, blood from the tears his fangs caused in his mouth. His body lurches forward with insane speed strait towards Ben.*

Lilly: I... I'm not very hungry *she smiles shyly and her face flushes*

Benjamin: *He quickly gets to a tree and scales it, his bow drawn* You stay down there and I'll stay up here, deal?

Aisha: That's alright.

Tril: If you'd like I can show you around before it gets dark.

Jake: *A streak of darkness is shown leading into the tree beside Ben an instant before he "jumps." If Ben had been any slower he would be very mauled mutilated and dead at this point. Jake's eyes are clouded and show no indication if at this point he can understand - let alone hear - Ben's words.*

Lilly: *nods slowly* Thank you.. uhm... *Tries to recall if he told her his name*

Tril: Tril, my name is Tril

Benjamin: *he jumps back on the limb higher, and huffs*

Aisha: *cleans the table and goes to make a bed for lilly.*

Jake: *The dark blur occurs again as he "jumps" higher at ben*

Lilly: thank you tril... *she looks down at her hands*

Tril: *he smiles at her*

Benjamin: *he jumps up three limbs, shooting each time, though not to kill*

Jake: *is hit hard once in the side... he makes a strange sound as he collapses crashing down the tree and slamming into the ground. The impact digs the arrow deep into him. His body begins shifting back as he is loosing a lot of blood from the spikes and the pain is rousing him out of his bestial state. He shifts back, his fangs remaining and he makes a soft but agonized groan. His expression is confused and terrified. He tries to move but has to choke back a scream. his back is laced with lacerations and he has undoubtedly broken several ribs and maybe worse, from the fall. His breathing is ragged and his face pales. He doesn't remember what happened after he lost control but his eyes find Ben in the tree and his eyes flash with fear. All he knows is that he had been trying to escape but hadn't been able to and the last thing he remembers clearly, is being shot in the heel the first time. So to his knowledge all the pain and injuries may have been inflicted by Ben.*

Lilly: *they walk around the clearing that holds the cottage until sunset*

((Pause lilly and tril))

Benjamin: *He jumps to the ground beside the tree* Do you want me to help you? *he notices the change in Jake*

Jake: *Looks confused and afraid and tries to say something but it comes out as a groan and a gurgling cough which brings up blood from his punctured lung. He spits out the blood and breathes shallowly trying not to cough again*

Benjamin: I'll say yes *he strongly picks up Jake, carefully breaking off the arrow* I'm going to take you to the town, unless you'd rather go somewhere else? Don't worry, I'll cover your eyes.

Jake: *makes a sound that would be a scream if his lung wasn't punctured. More blood trickles out of his mouth as does blood from his lacerated back. His post-transformation was harmful enough to be agonizing without the addition of a punctured lung an arrow in his gut along with several broken ribs. If he had been able, he would have tried to escape, but in his condition he couldn't even move his hand without pain shooting up him. His fangs still hadn't receded and he bared them at the pain before blacking out. He had never changed before, and had never tried to fight or felt he needed to or could before. He certainly hadn't done a good job of it this time. He couldn't even remember what happened.*

Benjamin: *puts the sunglasses on Jake that he finds in his pocket and takes him to the town where finds a doctor friend who owes him a favor*

Jake: *the anesthetic doesn't work on him because of his unusual DNA makeup so he wakes up on the table with his chest open and the doctor sewing up his lung. He grits his teeth exposing the fangs which still haven't returned to their original location and starts to jerk unintentionally. *This is the third human that has ever had physical contact with him. Ben was the second. His own birth mother the first.*

Doctor: *continues carefully working*

Benjamin: *holds him still* relax.
